Car rental at Landeyjahöfn Harbour
Hertz Iceland offers car rental services at the Landeyjahöfn harbour for those visiting south Iceland. Landeyjahöfn Harbour regularly operates ferries to and from Westman Islands(Vestmannaeyjar) daily.
In case of bad weather, the ferries might temporarily stop their service. The cancelled ferry might sail later that day again or to another harbour if the conditions allow. Please contact the port or the ferry service provider for more information about the ferry operations.

Parking at Landeyjahöfn harbour
A lot of FREE parking spots are available at the harbour. Not all the parking spaces are marked with lines. You are allowed to park around the port. Feel free to ask the staff in reception in case of doubt.
To bring your rental car to Westman Islands
Herjolfur ferry offers transport service between the main island and Westmand island for both passengers and cars. You can book a ticket here to bring your vehicle over to Westman Island.
We STRONGLY advise you to book the ferry ticket in advance, especially during the summer months (between June and August) due to the high demand for this service.
