If you’ve realized that something of yours isn’t where it should be, and you suspect it might have been left in your Hertz rental car, you’re in the right place. We understand how important these items can be, and we’re committed to doing our best to reunite you with your lost belongings.
How Does It Work?
Step 1: Don’t Panic
First things first, take a deep breath. We handle a wide variety of lost and found inquiries regularly and have a good track record of finding and returning lost items.
Step 2: Fill Out the Form
To get started, all you need to do is fill out our simple lost and found form. It’s straightforward and only takes a few minutes. The form asks for basic information like your rental agreement number, the type of item you’ve lost, and any distinctive features that might help us identify it. The more details you can provide, the better our chances of finding your item.
Step 3: Sit Tight and Let Us Work Our Magic
Once you’ve submitted the form, our dedicated team will start the search for your lost item. We’ll check the vehicle you rented, our lost and found storage, and with our cleaning teams. If we find something that matches your description, we’ll reach out to you to confirm and arrange for its return.
Step 4: Reunification
When your item is found, we’ll contact you to discuss the best way to get it back to you. Whether you’re still in Iceland or have already flown home, we’ll do our best to make the return as smooth and hassle-free as possible.
Please note: We only work with the Iceland post office (posturinn.is ) for the shipment service; the charges would be the shipping cost, plus an EXTRA service fee of 11,000 ISK per parcel.
