Intro to Forest Lagoon Iceland

Opened in 2022, the Forest Lagoon is a geothermal hot waters spa surround by birch and pine trees forests, with a perfect mix of natural Iceland beauty and modern amenities.

The spa’s architecture features extensive wood cladding, allowing the structures to seamlessly integrate with the forested environment, creating a tranquil retreat that immerses visitors in the wilderness.

The lagoon is still relatively new and less-crowded than the more popular Iceland hot springs like the Blue Lagoon and Sky Lagoon, so you’re likely to have a more tranquil experience.

There are two geothermal ‘infinity’ pools: a large pool maintained at 37°C (98.6°F) with two swim-up bars, and a smaller pool kept at 40°C (104°F). Both pools overlook the fjord, providing a beautiful backdrop to the warm waters.

4×4 SUVs: The Versatile Choice

For those seeking versatility and reliability across all seasons, 4×4 SUVs are a no-brainer. Models like the Kia Sportage or similar offer automatic transmission and ample space for passengers and luggage.

Alternative Options

If you’re traveling during the milder summer months and plan to stick to paved roads, a 2WD vehicle may suffice. Our compact cars, such as the Hyundai i30 Wagon, provide excellent fuel efficiency and comfort for city driving and well-maintained highways.

Electric and Hybrid Vehicles

For environmentally conscious travelers, consider our electric and hybrid options. The Tesla Model Y, for instance, offers a sustainable driving experience with the latest technology and comfort. However, it’s important to note that electric vehicles are not permitted on F-roads and may have limitations in remote areas due to charging infrastructure.

Luxury and Larger Groups

If you’re seeking a more luxurious experience or traveling with a larger group, our fleet includes options like the Mercedes Benz GLE Plug-in Hybrid, which combines luxury with eco-friendliness, and passenger vans that can accommodate more travelers comfortably.

Seasonal Considerations

During winter months(Nov-March), when road conditions can be challenging, opting for a 4×4 vehicle is highly recommended. These vehicles are better equipped to handle snow and ice, ensuring a safer journey. In contrast, during summer, a wider range of vehicles can be suitable, depending on your specific travel plans.
