Egilsstadir airport is one of the four International airports in Iceland. But there are no international flights departure or arrival at the Egilsstadir airport, which mainly serves as a domestic airport which operates several daily scheduled flights to and from Reykjavik city Airport.

If you are driving a camper or caravan, PLEASE go to a designated campground and stay overnight INSIDE the camping site. Sleeping in a car, campervan, or a caravan is illegal within town limits.
